Mossom Creek Chum Return

Sunday October 18th, 2008, I had the privilege of observing (with a group from the Mossom Creek Hatchery) the return of some CHUM SALMON at the mouth of the creek on private land in Port Moody. Rufus MacIntyre, a former student of Ruth Foster, put on his hipwaders and gently entered the creek, using his camera to take some video of the salmon spawning. Have a look. There will be, thanks to the Burrard Inlet Marine Enhancement Society’s Mossom Creek initiative, and all the volunteers another generation of salmon.

And a big thanks to Ruth Foster for being inclusive and allowing this disabled volunteer (ME!) to be a part of it all!
