And the networks continue…

Walking out of an “Environment Committee” meeting sounds like a bad thing…but it was not. Politics is political and some people have difficulty embracing the concept. That’s okay… life is learning for everyone and we are all at different places in our understanding of how the world works. But time is precious, so I decided to invest my time with Eve Gauthier (TGC-networking brings good people together indeed)…a dynamo of hard work for good issues. We left the meeting and worked on some brainstorming for issues to raise to Coquitlam’s public input forum.

When, after a year, the Anmore Environment Committee is still not functional due to political process, and the associated Councillors don’t comprehend the governing legislation, I decided to pull out, temporarily, until the chaos is over. Now I can concentrate my efforts on the following:

Clean Indoor Air Initiative
… lobby for more scent-free spaces
… our podcasts
Tri-City Green Council
Mossom Creek Hatchery (Burrard Inlet Marine Enhancement Society)
BC Ataxia Society
Anmore Village Political Process
… scrutinizing policy and procedure within the Village
Summer Recreation
… new found love of kayaking
… fixing my trike and getting out there while the weather is good
